He is full professor of German literature at the Roma Tre University. He deals mainly with modern and contemporary theater, geography of literature and cultural studies. In 2012 he edited the book Brecht e i media, then, together with Valentina Valentini, Brecht e la fotografia, also with Valentina Valentini and with Camilla Miglio, edited La terra sonora.
